Official: Sugar, oil price deals obey market rules

MOSCOW, Mar 26 (PRIME) -- The agreements for sunflower oil and sugar price stabilization are an example of partnership between the government and business that does not violate the market principles, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Viktor Yevtukhov said on Friday.

"The sugar and oil agreements are examples of mild regulation of market participants' rules of conduct on the most socially important items," Yevtukhov said.

The government is discussing prolongation of the measures regulating sugar and sunflower oil prices introduced in December.
